Hey diddle diddle
The cat and the fiddle
M jumped over the moon
The dog laughed to see such a sport
and X ran away with the spoon.

(that’s my explanation as to why there is no M or X)

So in conclusion, I only missed two letters, M and X while Z was a day late. I enjoyed the challenge as it gave me a goal. I work better when I know what I’m working toward. Also, it gives my creative juices a bit more chutzpah. We could all use an extra dose of creative chutzpah sometimes. In case you missed any of them, here they are in all their glory.

Taboo Words for the Taboo Word Challenge

If you haven’t heard about this challenge yet, it’s very simple. You continue blogging as you normally would. If you blog every day, awesome! If you blog every other day, awesome! If you blog when you can, awesome! Anyone is free to join. Just click the blue frog!

Here are the easy rules to follow:

1. Don’t use the word Taboo Word of the day in your blog. Whatever day your post is being published, write it without that day’s word. If you post multiple time per day this rule only applies to one of your posts.
2. Visit at least one of the other from the Linky list. This is as much a meet and greet as it is a challenge.

Taboo Word Challenge

​There will be a new challenge coming to the blogosphere in September. Warm up your thinking caps. Loosen up those blogging fingers. After those pesky kids get back to school we’ll start up this new and exciting adventure!

Next week I will be revealing the Taboo word list. 

It requires you to do nothing but blog as you normally would. If you blog every day you can join. If you blog Monday, Wednesday, Friday you can join. If you blog once a week you can join. Simply comply with the rules on the days you blog. There are no photos or topics to write about. You simply write the day’s post as you normally would. However, there will be something missing.

Each post you make will be missing a word… or rather written without using a given word. I have 20 words chosen. Each day, the taboo word will be a little harder to omit so you’ll have to be creative. The challenge will start on the first of September and run until the 28th. It’ll be a Monday to Friday challenge so there will be no taboo words on the weekends. I’ll post the full taboo word list on the 21 of August for those who like to plan ahead. Check back here then!

An Odd Post

This story that’s not actually a story has 115 words. It’s not a normal story. It’s unusual. I can think of a story by omitting an important symbol. Can you spot what it is uncanny? You may find it amazing if you can spot this abnormality. I didn’t think I could it at first. But as I told my story, I found I could do it without pausing. Words would magically form, as if from thin air. Not all authors can do this so skillfully. It’s an ability, though not difficult if you think about it. I want you to try to do what I did. Can you jot down a paragraph without using an E?
