Hello November. You’re looking pretty sexy in your yellows, oranges, reds, and bright blue skies. It’s not your fault that it gets dark just two hours after the kids get home from school. Every day sees less daylight now.
Thank you winter for that. We love having so much darkness (said no one ever).
Okay, November, pull up a chair and let me tell you how October treated the blog.
I published 28 posts. This is one more post than I posted in September. These 28 posts brought 1,266 views. This is 149 fewer than the month before. These 28 posts brought 500 visitors which is 1 more than than September. Thank you visitors for pulling up a chair with us here. We love company so make yourself at home. These 28 posts received 474 likes which is awesome because I like you too! That’s only 4 fewer than September.
The comments are what make this blogging gig so much fun. I started it as a way for me to talk about being a dad, a parent and to vent and brag about my kids. It’s turned into far more. There’s a whole community of like minded people and we ban together like the last few cheerios in the bowl of milk. October saw 379 comments which is 6 more than September. Thank you so much. I love the discussions! #TheStruggleIsReal #YouAreNotAlone
Besides my Homepage (341 views), the post with the most views in October was a guest post by Dori from Green Grapes with her post titled Acorns (83 views) about why fall became her favorite season. In second place was Be Hated (53 views) about standing up for what is right. In third was Month in Review (49 views) which was October’s review of September.
All In A Dad’s Work has travelled the world over. It visited 29 countries! The top 3 countries were the United States, Australia, and Canada. The Netherlands were a close 4th.
September ended with 571 followers. October ended with 630. That’s a gain of 59 followers! How awesome! Follow me. I don’t know where we’re going, but we’re having a great time getting there! My life’s motto is “Not all who wander are lost”. Wander with me…
The top commenters are the same 6 as September, just in a slightly different order.
With 82 – A Momma’s View
With 74 – Ann of Grubbs n Critters
With 70 – Erika of That’s What Anxious Mom Said
With 35 – Elen Grey
With 33 – Daley Downing
With 16 – Karen van Benschoten
I want to thank everyone who stopped by to read. I’d hug all of you who commented if I had the time and Go Go Gadget Arms to reach around the world to hug you. Just know that it means a lot to this small fry Dad who writes about two little boys who make him proud and want to pull his hair out if he had any.
How were your stats for October? Feel free to let me know in the comments!

I can sympathise with Calvin’s Mom…
Love the Calvin cartoon. It is great that word of your blog is reaching more people. I know I am glad I found your blog. I really enjoy reading it .

Great stats! The comments and discussion is my favorite part about blogging too. Writing is wonderful, but being able to connect with others is even greater. Plus, there is so much to learn from others and new perspectives to gain (and share) if we’re willing to ‘listen’.

Thanks! The comments and discussion really do make it all worth while. I know it certainly helps keep me coming back. That connection is beyond comparison. Hearing so many perspectives and stories is awesome. I never thought I’d be a blog writer, let alone a blog reader 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
